Vanilla Bean

Vanilla, a member of the orchid family, is a climbing monocot processing a stout, succulent stem; short petioled, oblong leaves. The inflorescence is a raceme with 20 or more flowers. Flowers are 6 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, either yellowish green or white. Fruit popularly known as ‘beans’ or ‘pods’ is a capsule, nearly cylindrical and about 14 cm long.

We can supply 2 types of Vanilla Beans. One is a gourmet grade and the other extraction grade.

The product is organically produced and processed according to current good manufacturing practices, HACCP norms and regulations NPOP, NOP & EEC 834/2007. Also the product is naturally fumigated through EcO2 processing technique and steam sterilized.

Dimensions: 13 cm long and above
Aroma: Subtle Perfume Typical of Natural Vanilla. No Off-Odour, No Foreign Matters.
Colour: Dark Brown to Very Dark Brown
Cleanliness: As per ASTA cleanliness specifications.

Moisture: 9% Max
*Vanillin Content: 0.1% Min. (Extraction Grade)
*Vanillin Content: 1% Min (Gourmet Grade)

*Curcumin Content: 2% Min.

Note: Testing shall be with reference to the methods prescribed in the manuals of ASTA, AOAC and BAM.

Microbiological Parameters:

Salmonella (in375 gms): Absent
E. Coli (cfu/gm): Absent

Packing: 20-25 Kgs, PP Kraft Bags with heat sealed inner poly liner. Other options can be suggested.
